Indirect heater discriptions

your digital camera might snag a photo of the "boiler plate." That's the small tag on the water heater that displays the BTU input, voltage, firing rate, etc.

Even slick operator's like your Buyer's Insurance Co. know indirects do NOT have a flame, BTU input or output ratings or the like. You showing them a photo of the AGA (American Gas Association) label, patent numbers etc., and your "proof" is in the photo.

Indirects have no such data (boiler plate) and are simply UL listed or some similar nomenclature tagging.

    Indirect heater Clarification

I've recently purchased a home with an Indirect Water Heater. The heater is leaking and the Home Warranty Co. is trying to get out of replacing it because they are calling it a "Storage Tank" (which is not covered under the warranty). I know the difference between an Indirect Water Heater and a Storage Tank but am looking for some documentation to back-up my argument. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Tim
