Steam heat
I have steam heat in my 80 year old house. I cut the pipe to get another length pipe in there but can't seem to get the pipe I cut out of the elbow. I have used a pipe wrench with a breaker bar. Nothing. Only crushes the pipe. I've tried heating up the elbow with a torch. Nothing. Any advice for removing 80 year old pipe stuck in an elbow?0 -
call for assistance
you might consider calling a plumber before you create a job that will cost ten times the original price. dismantling the pipe is the easy part of steamfitting usually designated to the helpers. no disrespect but sometimes you need a professional.0 -
After using some leveraging, the elbow just crack and broke. Now we just need to replace the elbow. Thanks!0
