INSTALLING OLD HYDRONIC LEAF-TYPE RADIATORS

I have "inherited" an old 8-leaf hydronic radiator. There is a male union fitting on the upper-end of one side and a male union fiting on the other (opposite) side (lower)near the floor (the air bleed is above on this end as well). The circut suppling the radiator is 1-inch black pipe 60+feet from the boiler. It is passive though there are other circuts servicing this three story building with B&G pumps on the return side.
WHAT SIDE(high or low)OF THE RADIATOR SHOULD BE THE INPUT?

The water
should enter at the top, and leave at the bottom.
