Flies with honey or vinegar ?
I understand being upset, but if this is a once or twice thing this forum is pretty public for such bashing.
I have my issues with W-M, but they're small and I've even had a whole Ultra 80 delivered at 4 p.m. because the supply house didn't have the part needed. W-M followed it up with a handful of parts for free.

weil-mclain put the screws to me again. guess i will never learn. they always find a way to ruin your day. egh 115 sealed carton jacket covers. two right hand panels ----no left. temperature dropping. ya cannot win.0 -
i meant two lefts no right. this vendor is cracking me. quality control is not good.mondayholiday , look like moron to customer. what to do. probably lose two days.0 -
?
FWIW, my supplier will open up 24/7 for a $50.00 fee. Even if you won't get that back, though I can't imagine you wouldn't, it would be $ well spent. If of course your supplier will do that.0 -
wishful thinking
i will give it a shot but i doubt very much if my nyc supplier would open up even for their mother. in their world plumbers do not exist except for overdue invoices. CAN'T EVEN FAULT THEM , IT IS WEIL-MCLAIN QUALITY CONTROL.0 -
Well,
we,ve all been there Bob, I had a prob with a products QC not long ago from another manufacturer if anyone remembers LOL, stuff(for lack of a better word) happens!
Cool your heels and try the "supplier thing" like Adam suggests, besides they are supposed to be there to help us.

Quality control
I have to agree Weil-Mclain quality conrol is practily non existent I recently changed boiler brands after over 30 years.Everyone has some quality control issues but most companies will address them. My experience is they are so big they don't seem to care about one contractor.

the Sheetmetal is shipped to them, packaged by the Fabricator ..
should Weil open every box ..??0 -
my supply house
So its happened to EGH? Same thing with LGB boiler... However, with my supply house, after reporting any storage with the product, they will rip open another box to get the missing parts. Then they give manufacters ( they can be anyone) **** about it..0 -
bonehead mistakes
Maybe they should to a more reliable vendor. one with , you know , quality control. for the price you pay for a boiler, these mistakes should not happen. a bad control i can understand but not complete incompetence.0 -
Weil McLain
I couldn't disagree with you any more. They care a LOT...I sell lot of their boilers and have found their attitude from the top down to be nothing but top notch when it comes to customer service...maybe it's you or your supplier that has an attitude problem......think about it!!

If you........
have found anyone in the supply chain for WM that cares you are having an experience much different from mine.

WM
Well, here's an opinion from someone who will NOT use Weil McLain boilers, except for the EG series steam boilers.
I had a problem with a transformer/relay assembly last winter. Called tech support. Turns out the electrician on the job blasted the circuit with 220. Customer demanded warranty, "because the boiler was only a week old". WM tech called my supplier and asked them to give me a transformer assy. It was on the counter when I got there.
It doesn't get any better than that. I will continue to use the EG series as long as they make them. WM has a customer forever.
