Nope, which is one of the reson I use the WeilMclain boilers. I often "knock" them down to make the installation easier and easier on your back, too!
Follow the manual instruction and remove the middle bolier section bolts to halve the boiler block. I use the milk crate and thin piece of wood to make up the space under the block. However, I keep extra sticky section gaskets on hand to replace the ones that be wrecked. Rubber gaskets, no problem reusing them. Make sure to clean them and mating surface with dry,oil free cotton lint free rag.
