One bad radiator
Miriam Hill
Member Posts: 1
We have a one-year-old boiler that works great, but one of our radiators does not seem to be heating. It worked fine last year, and nothing has been moved or changed. When we tried to bleed it, no air or water came out of the valve. I am not very familiar with the anatomy of a radiator, so some of the answers in articles are pretty confusing. What could be my problem/solution?

one bad rad
I assume you have a hot water system and that your radiators have bleeders near the top of the rad. If you get no air or water, the sytem pressure may be too low and you are getting no circulation in that part of the system. Pressure should be 12-15 lbs for an average two story home. It will be higher for taller structures. IF you don't know how to add water to the system, call in a trade professional to show you how.
