I was going to use a cast iron base board, but do you have have any suggestions? The size of the casing is 8 inches hights by 3 1/2 inches deep. The fins themselves are 3 inch by 3 1/4 inch and there are 49 fins per foot. Ya it is a hardjob for a heating pro....thats why I came to the wall. So what is the EDR rating so i can size a replacement.

It depends on several factors, William. What do you want to replace it with? 1 1/4" steel pipe....what size are the fins and what size/style is the enclosure? Is the existing radiation properly sized for the space? Lots of info needed to make the right decision. Good job for a heating pro.
