With it add a Taco 3 way iradiant valve and dial it in. Low cost and quite a product if I may say.ODR built in and it can usually be powered right from the relay attached to the pump. Chris

    If I had a boiler...

w/ 2 zones of baseboard heat and wanted to add a very small zone of radiant heat to it, how would I pipe it using another zone valve AND a mixing valve? ...ty,kpc

you will need a circ for the infloor zone. (Circ required for each temperature a system delivers)

option1)~Suggest exchanging mix valve for circ and use zone valve as pulse injector using simple control like tekmar T150 to apply PID logic and time pulsing ZV accordingly.

Option2)~close knit tees off primary loop into mix valve with a CIRC to provide flow in low temp zone.

    thanks...

I was hoping to not have to do the pump to keep the cost down. It is 1 -175' loop of 1/2 pex in slab...this is for friend(I know, I know) I'll pony up and do the separate circ...TY, kpc

How will you install the radiant?

Ultra Fin can run at baseboard temperatures if it fits into the load numbers. Easy to install and zone off of the system you have.

With a low temperature system and a 3 way thermostatic you may need to pipe a primary secondary and that would cost two more circs.

Suspended tube is another option for a small low load system. With either consider PAP or Viega FostaPex. It has a 200F temperature listing for a bit more wiggle room. Doesn't droop and sag like pex at elevated temperatures.

How low can you run the baseboard 160?

    tube is in,...

in an insulated slab. Boiler is also a tankless/oil set up. the Room is 8x15 ish design temp on the loop is 110F @ -10F....I tried the 3 way sparco and I thought it would work but there is not enough flow. Shortcuts always find a way to come back and bite ya'...ty, kpc
