Solar to Steam

the "Heliostat", a device that moved a mirror array so that it follows the sun, was used in the early 20th century to light office buildings with sunlight.

Somewhere I have an article on a solar steam-generating setup from that era too. Not sure if they applied the Heliostat to that one. One of these days I'll find it and scan it for the Library.

This thing could operate a district-heating system too, during daytime at least. Who says steam is a dead technology?
