Sorry, no help here in identifying the rad, just a comment - cool rad, or maybe rad rad - anyway, like the face. Subtle, especially with 100 years of paint. What does the whole radiator look like? How about a complete picture, from its toes up?

Idle curiosity - were there lots of small foundries casting radiators, did foundries make what we might today call private labels on special order?

Don't know if there were private labels. I could not find this radiator in Dan's book (EDR). I found some stuff on Atlantic Boilers, though I do not think that there is any relation.

I sort of answered my own question

I subscribe to a newspaper archive site - located papers from Huntingdon, PA. It seems that Atlantic was taken over by Pierce, Butler and Pierce ca. 1923. I'm still looking at old articles for more.

Article from 1910 or so. I also went to Huntingdon, PA site, but found nothing. Did see the US Radiator bought an existing foundry in Corry, PA (Eire, County, I believe) in 1861 or so. In my short stumble around cyberspace, it appears 1.) there were lots of local foundries cranking out radiators in the latter 19th century, and 2.) it's a real shame that local historical societies don't post more commercial history.

Anyway, nice radiator. I wonder if that's Janus staring at us? He could be looking in both directions on a radiator & there is some faint connection - January, etc.
