Something not clear here. Is this a modulating boiler or a domestic wall hung heater. What is the make and model of the boiler you are using? What is the make and model of the "side loop water heater'?


If its a boiler, why can't you just wire DHW and heating demands separately as you said? If its a wall hung water heater - now we have a different scenario and your question makes more sense - and it can be done.

    I know most mod con boilers come with DHW priorty built into them but what if you are using a side loop water heater for domestic hot water with an external plate heat exchanger for some radiant floor heat? With this configuration how do you give the DHW priortiy when the floor is calling for heat?
