That the government doesn't understand their regulations.
Well, maybe not that odd.

PJF Designation?
Hi All,
I'm trying to learn more about the Oil Heat industry. In scanning licensing requirements for oil burner techs in Rhode Island, they have a designation of PJF for Oil Burners and Natural Gas techs. However, no one can tell me exactly what "PJF" stands for! Does anyone here have any clue? I assume P J means Pipefitter Journeyman, but the F is a big mystery to everyone, even to those who possess the license!
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance!

That's a good question
Even the state regs don't seem to say.
Just a guess. The "F" may stand for fitter. Journeyman makes sense for the "J". The "P" could be pipefitter or piping or professional.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply! I thought about maybe they twisted it around and it should be JPF, or Journeyman Pipe Fitter, but I can't get anyone in the guv'ment to clarify. I also thought it might mean "Pipefitter Journeyman Fuel", since it is only related to natural gas and oil licenses.
Apparently, only the Shadow knows....
