it usually turns green from the chemicals. That cholorine air is bad news for any boiler that breathes it. it is also hard on the electrical components.
Are the boilers sealed combustion?
Even with the chemicals stored in another room. Small pool equipment rooms seem to always have a chlorine odor about them.

Copper in pool mechanical room
We recently finished a two boiler install in a mechanical room that has a pool boiler/filter/pump. The copper on the hydronic system has changed color rather quickly, I am assuming from the clorine in the air. The building owner is concerned about long term, will the copper be compromised over time? He is going to wall off the pool equipment and ventilate it, but is there any possibility of continued corrosion? Any thoughts.
Thanks,
