    Soot vacs

I'm looking at purchasing a new soot vac. I talked to a salesman about a Goodway GTC-540-20SS. Anyone know if this is a good brand or what you might be using with success or what brand to stay away from?

    Sootmaster

Works for me. Just used it yesterday for the first time this season. Johnstone has them and carries a very complete line of parts, filters, hoses, bags and accessories. Mine has to be 20+ years old and it still develops a good strong vacuum with lots of air volume

    Thanks

My 'ole Milwaukee. Not a tremendous amount of hard-core sucking power, but is steady and dependable. I guess its 25 yrs. old
  • Sootmaster here too,

for my needs, it always fits my bill just remember like Big Ed says, use the bags.

    Beat Ya All

My old Pullman is somewhere around 40, was my dads. Had to take motor apart once and grease bearings but thats all. still will suck the chrome off a trailer hitch.

Good for you, but Sootmaster is my choice too!
BTW- Do they still chrome trailer hitches?, I thought that left with the 70`s LOL.
