Blast Trap
Steamhead (in transit)

is just a very large trap that can handle a lot of condensate. It's probably a large thermostatic trap connected to some Vento stacks or duct coils. Let us know what you find there.

Blast Trap
I am working off of 1929 blue prints and in the steam system it has something called a blast trap. What is a blast trap and how dopes it work. Thanks0 -
Say Frank,
is this like an inverted drum trap?,,just curious.

You're thinking
of an inverted bucket trap. I got the blast trap definition from an old ASHVE Guide, but I suppose you could use any type of trap that could handle the load.
