I would like some help here ????? I have an old boiler system 70+ years with 3" pipes. I was wondering what is the CORRECT way to set it up. I mean, should the circulator pump run all the time the gas is ON? Or should it cycle only when the boiler reaches temp?
Now, I have the boiler set to 135 when the circulator kicks ON and turns off at 110. Then when it cycles 4 times the pump runs all the time with the gas ON. Or is it better to raise the boiler temp to say 160 so it cycles more? What is the CORRECT way to set this up? Also, what way saves the most gas / or heats the beat?
Thank you0
