installing vents

Teflon will work OK as it allows for easier removal in the future. The pressure is low and the heat won't bother it. Just be careful when wrapping the thread to avoid getting any teflon inside the pipe or inlet of the vent. Leave the first two threads uncovered and you will be OK

installing vents
The answer has probably been on here, but I forget. I'm changeing the main vent and 3 radiator vent, (1 pipe system) On the main I see they used teflon on the threads, should I use that on the smaller radiator vents or something else? Also haveing the boiler drained to get rid of black water. Thanks for any info.0 -
