Threaded vs Welded fittings

What is in your opinion the best way to go, as I have to replace 80' of 2' main with 3" pipe and am not sure which would be the best option to go with.
The welding part is on site and no problem (have welding certs for pressure pipe) and the threading of 3" is an 25 minute drive away, my questions boils down too why does one not see more welded systems as to me anyways it's a lot easer to weld fittings than it is to thread them.
What do you all recommend me to do?

Our specifications call for
welded pipe for all sizes 2.5" and up. 2-inch and under is screwed. Welding is also required for oil piping regardless of size and glycol piping of any size where concealed.
Given that welding is well within your skill set, heck, no brainer, I would weld it. If more welders were out there, we would see more welding. Screwed pipe is obviously more forgiving and practicable for far more people.
The only downside is future modifications, your next technician if not you, will be forced into doing hot work.
Assuming you are not limited in doing hot-work near combustibles, you can do things with welding where a wrench span may not reach.
Just make sure you have expansion provisions, all the usual good practices. But if it were me being given a choice? Heck, a one-piece piping system would make me very happy.
You are fortunate and in an excellent situation. You are only going to build it once."If you do not know the answer, say, "I do not know the answer", and you will be correct!"

Thank you for your expertise aand thoughts
Now I understand and thats half the battle, Have A Great Day. I know I'm going to. Welding is soooooo much easier and forgiving than threaded fittings those mid evil torture devices are best left to the professionals.
