Hi All, What type of wire will I need to connect the outdoor sensor to the 256? The run is about 60'. Do I need shielded or plain #18 twisted pair? Thanks, Roland

    18-2 should be fine

    Make a good tight connection. This is a thermistor you are hooking up to.

    Shielded

    I have had problems with unshielded wire and Tekmar sensors, particularly with longer runs like this one. I would use shielded wire on all thermistors.
