is it common practice to use copper instead of steel for the fill and vent on oil tanks?? I havent seen it very often and was wondering if there is any problem with it??

Believe (but not certain) MA only allows it if if the joints are brazed w/ a material w/ a melting point in excess of 800°F(?); NO soldered joints, so effectively it's prohibited. Could be worse though, could be PVC!!!0 -
That is in referance to oil lines,.... its no soldered joints on oil lines unless the material melting point is in excess of 800 or 900 degrees,...
I'll bet my license anything other than steel fill and vent piping is illegal in MA
