or what ever sends the call for heat will provide the system pump power.

I like the Taco SR switching relays for that. The t-stat turns on nthe circ and has extra contacts to fire the boiler. fairly simple and inexpensive.

    MUNCHKIN AND TEKMAR

I'm considering starting to use the Munchkin boilers for some of my installations.

Heat Transfer says their Vision One control does not control the system pump, they want a separate input to do that.

There seems to be some question as to how well the Tekmar 263 will work with the Munchkin.

Does anyone have any experience using the Tekmar 263 with the Munchkin?

    Thank You

  • not sure. but using teknet 4 to control the munchkin rocks! indoor feedback, zone syncronization, direct control over boiler modulation, can't beat it. Need an extra interface card for that though.

I'm not sure what you'd need the 263 for in any case. Use a relay to turn on the system pump and put a heat demand on the munchkin. Vision one will select the temperature it is targeting based on outdoor temperature and modulate to meet that temp. if Outdoor reset w/DHW priority is good enough, you're done.
