Am aware of the MPI FCX condensing oil boiler and absolutely love it.

The boiler is actually made in France and is controlled by Bosch. Perhaps the Peerless is a clone?

    Ken,

    Not even close !

The Peerless unit is BIG!!! I saw them at NEFI this past year, and they are completely different from the Monitor. Kind of a "downfired, stacked tray" arrangement. Interesting to be sure...but without(guaranteed) low sulfur fuel, I'm still a bit skeptical.

Lots of folks said the same thing to me during the day. Chris

    Pinacle

liching who? that's what scares me probably runs great over there with THEIR controlls and burner. Why didn't they at least use a Riello a Becket with it's low static, firing down makes a little voice in my head scream "warning danger Will Robinson!". Esp with our crappy oil. I'd feel much better if they didn't try and reinvent the thing and shipped it with the burner and controlls that where designed for it.

Whe we saw the Pinnical demo at the trade show they said the the Beckett handled the boiler better than the Weishaupt (?) burner they use in europe. What makes you feel that the Riello can handle crappy oil better than the Becket?
