g124/18 & S120 buderus

yes sir i am not doing the plumbing ,waste and vent for the new bath on the second floor but i will run a gravity re circ line for it and yes the flapper is always open and i have drilled a small hole in the check valve this way it does not chatter when hot water is need at the fixtures ,i also included a globe valve i adjust it so that when a fixture is open thge flow does not go through the re circ line ,i have been doing my re circ lines for domestic hot water this way for many years and there are none that i could not get working properly i never needed a pump yet at least on simple 1 line re circ as for many long loops on a single story home i go with the circ ,peace and good luck clammy

Not complete yet still have a second floor addition to be finished and 4 buderus panel rads to be installed after the sheetrock spackling is dry (monday)Originally this home had hot air but all was butched up due to the fact that basement was finished and the previous HO destroyed all the sheetmetal ductwork and ran alot of flex and squezzed it all no air flow and no return (1 12 x 6 return rest where disconnecteed 3 ton blower)The HO would not go with panel rads through out so it maostly slant fin 30 and the basement is 4 panel rads and a small fan coil for a all glass little sun room with no wall space ,the boiler is also providing domestic hot water through a s120 tank,As for a/c i am installing a unico 3 ton with a hepa filter and seperate reurns usinga trane 14 seer 410 a condenser i'll post some other pics when the panel rads are in and the boiler room is cleaner peace and good luck clammy

    Clammy

I think your check valve for the re-circ line if installed so that it is allwats open. The weight of the flapper will always fall down.

    Am I worng ?
