Dunkirk vs. Weill-Maclain vs. Peerless

They are all pretty much equal in quality, but make sure when comparing that all things are equal. Atmospheric vs. power flame burner can throw off your comparison if not careful. I install a lot of steam boilers and the Weil is my boiler of choice. Mated with a Riello gas burner and I believe you have the best option for efficiency(and the flexibility to convert to oil at a late date without changing the boiler)......something to consider with today's volatile fuel market.

    Dunkirk vs Weill-Maclain vs. Peerless

I'm making this inquiry for my brother in law. I do not know the specifics but he needs a new steam furnace (natural gas), 175000 BTU. Vendors are trying to sell me Dunkirk, Weill-Maclain and Peerless. I'd like to get an idea of which furnace will get me the most (efficiency included) for my money. He's in New York City. He's getting quotes as low as $5500 and as high as $7500 for these furnaces. Can anyone shed some light please. Thanks in advance.
