Hey Guys,
Does anyone know a formula or a place to find info on masonry chimney sizing or how many appliances can be vented on certain sized existing chimney.I have a customer that has a 100,000 btu boiler and a 40,000 btu water heater both nat. gas on a single 8"x8" flue ,she wants to add another boiler the cheapest way possible so a wall hung or direct vent is out of the question ,unless there's no way I can use the existing chimney.

NFPA 54
is a code book that has all the venting/chimney tables you could want; as well as the generally accepted code book for all utilities and states - eitehr directly, or referenced.
The height of the chimney is as important as the dimensions.
There are also venting table/books that focus on ONLY chimney math.
If you give us the height from the lowest penetration, someone must have a 54 laying around that could quote the total input capabilities, although, horizontal connector dimensions (diameter, length and BTU input) play yet another aspect of the calulations.

Online
If you index to NFPA 54 on this site, and wade through to the documents at the bottom of that page, it's online for free.
