Your correct the supply is closer to the wall.
Excellent idea. And I guess a short 1" straight pipe to connect the 45's together? I may be good on the height.
Thanks a lot......

radiator install
I am replacing a 5 foot steam baseboard with a cast iron radiator. I am 1" short to connect the radiator to the valve. I could turn the valve to make up the 1", but I would like to keep the radiator straight againist the wall.
Any suggestions?? Its a one pipe system.
Thanks.........0 -

Is the valve closer to the wall than the rad or farther? I'm assuming closer since it was supplying a baseboard rad. If closer you can use two 45's and connect up. It looks pretty neat to do as such. If needs be you can remove the supply nipple and re-size the height.0
