Slotted outlets
Has anyone used the slotted outlets from unico?
Are they noisier?
Has anyone tried using Unico slots with Spacepak. (They are not available yet from Spacepak)

Sorry
all mine are round 2" type.
Will the round types not work for your application?0 -
The sloted are not noisier than the round, and actually they seem to put out less air, but thats only beacuse of the slot.0 -
have used
devan i have used them they where not really noisey at close range but depending upon the wall and floor covering and the acositics of the room it might appear as a low background level noise ,i also used them in some bed rooms and bath with no noise promblem but in a large room with a angled cieling and a wall of glass and of course wood floors as well it bothered me but the HO didn't even care it was silent compared to the conventinal system they had ,If i had more opionts on that job and in the future i would try to keep them about 2ft or so from corners peace and good luck clammy0 -
Hi Singh
You can use the slotted outlets with spacepak. They are not any louder, and I have not noticed or ever heard that they put out less air. They are harder to check with your turbometer though. If I remember corrrectly it is knots time four for slotted outlets, but you may want to verify with Unico or your supply house first. They are quite expensive though...Good luck0
