As far as sch 8o your only improving the pipe so should'nt be a problem but i would still check with your rep. We use sch 40 on all our ultra weil reccommends it. Also one option i've used in past for alternative venting is going through the foundation wall and under ground you just have to make sure your lines are deep enough and pitched back to boiler. And at the end of the pipes you want u-bends and screens so no uwanted water or critters get in

IN REGARDS TO USING SCH 40 PVC FOR VENT/AIR INTAKE ON A WEIL MCLAIN ULTRA 80, COULD SCH 80 BE USED INSTEAD? THE SAME AS USED W/EXTERIOR ELEC PIPE. AND WOULD ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN RUN THE VENT/AIR INTAKE ON THE EXTERIOR OF A 2 STORY HOUSE UP TO THE ROOF? WEIL MCLAIN DOES NOT RECOMMEND THIS METHOD , BECAUSE OF THE FEAR OF THE CONDENSATE FREEZING. I WILL NOT HAVE A PROBLEM RUNNING THE VENT/AIR INTAKE IN A STUD CAVITY FROM THE BASEMENT UP THROUGH THE ROOF. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS TO LOOK AT. ALSO THE CHIMNEY IS GOING TO BE REMOVED ON THIS JOB, SO A MOD-CON LOOKS LIKE THE BEST OPTION.. ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT GUYS...THANKS0 -
Do not use sc 80
The internal diameter of the pipe is reduced due to the increased wall thickness. It MAY work on a very short run and the static pressure in the pipe may fall in tolerance, but a long run...you are asking for problems...
Did that on a furnace once, and the mfg told me change it. I did and it worked.0
