I believe it was

around the mid 90s . I forget the exact year they redesigned it into the EC brand . 1985 was the year they made that bad batch of too tight JOTs . My first year in the trade , I must've replaced 50 of 'em .

went from the JOT to the JOT-TW in 1986 to the EC in the mid 90's. I also changed many blocks on those"tight" JOT's

Gotta love....

Top, and often overlooked...cleanout in/on the front.

Brushes usually went one way or the other. Rarely did they go "both ways". That seemed to be the key.

I had quite a few that I inherited because of the miss. A little extra time for the service, and most weren't problematic at all.

I'm taking on a job in the next couple weeks with a JOT as the boiler for the "new" sections of the home. 3 zones and the record of service for the unit is attrocious at best.

If only.... Oh well. spoils to the riches, I guess. Chris
