Mobile Home Oil Furnace Burner won't restart after fuel ran out

Is the burner below or above the oil level in the tank?

Is there one fuel line (a supply) - or, two (supply AND return)?

Is there a filter between the tank and the burner?

When you bleed, can we assume you're bleeding the air from the 7/16" bleed port of the oil pump into a coffee can - or from the bleed screw atop the filter body?

Or are you bleeding by simply re-cycling the burner again and again - hoping to clear the air from the oil lines that way?

It is common practice to have the oil comany fill the tank - and then, come in to make sure the burner starts back up again. Most deliverymen carry enough hand tools to bleed air from the lines; although your running out is NOT a no-charge sort of dilemma...

Ran out of fuel and after adding more bled line but only the blower comes back on. Reset button showing only triggers blower. Is there a pilot that should be lit somewhere?

What color is the rest button you are pushing??

If white you are pushing the wrong button

And make sure you close the door tight after you push the button

    Different Animals

Mobile home appliances including water heaters and furnaces tend to be different animals than conventional.
Might want to get advice from someone who works on mobile homes in your area.

Resets and running the pump on power oil burners can pool oil in the bottom of the fire chamber and create a hazard if it does ignite. Possible rumbling and excessive soot.

Had this happen many years ago when a homeowner didn't tell me he tried to reset the furnace a number of times.Had to wait out the rumbling and clean up lots of soot.

look for a lock out switch on the door of the furnace

if that button isnt made it wont go....

or, check the tank for how much oil was delivered with a tape measure. sometimes, not always, oil is delivered next door.:) did the fuel company leave a ticket?

ok,...then ..most likely the fuel can make it go ....take a clear bleeder hose place it over the bleeder,...press the reset button let the oil rund for about two seconds and open the bleeder and close it a few times until it shows a white stream of oil,...

that means you have oil up to that point, shut the bleeder off did it rumble??

if so you have oil in the box that did not atomize.

it sputtered out the end of the gun.

so, then try this ....turn the power off leave it alone ,...come back in a min or two,

pick up the clear container hold it higher than the bleeder on the pump,...push the reset crack the bleederkeep the one end under the oil...soon as it starts running clear, shut the bleeder.

if that does not work then the next trick is pick up a telephone and call an oil tech...because what i would do in a flash is something that is too experiential to explain at the moment *~/:)
