Dan offered the Wall to communicate what we feel is an important press release from the National Research Council Canada - Institute for Research in Construction.
The folks in Ottawa have initiated a national network to link researchers involved in building and health-related disciplines. The new Canadian Building and Health Sciences Network will improve the health of citizens by bringing together health scientist and building scientists to collaborate on improving the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the built environment and everyone supporting our messages said - Yes!!!!
We have been hammering home for several years now that that HVAC professional is more part of the healthcare industry than the construction business and there is more than enough physiological research to support this position.
This is the formula. It's simple and it's based on science.
IEQ = IAQ + ICQ + dB + Lumes + Olfs = Healthcare
For this week only, we're going to celebrate the NRC-IRC announcement by throwing in the Home Owners Guide to Indoor Comfort Quality with every $7 donation made in exchange for the <A HREF="http://www.healthyheating.com/schematics.htm"> Architectural Guide to Radiant Based HVAC Systems</A>
Yep - get your copy of the Architectural Guide and we'll send you a link to download all five chapters of the Home Owners Guide. 100% of all funds from these tools goes towards adding science based commercial free content on indoor environmental quality.
As we have said before a million times....
"we don't design for buildings - we design for the body"

Last but not least - we're starting the nomination reviews for the Carlson-Holohan Industry Award of Excellence.
Mr. Dave Yates (2006 to 2008) is fulfilling his duties above and beyond - for Dan and I, it has been a real pleasure to see his accomplishments. He will be passing the torch with our support to an individual who represents the best of our industry. Learn more about this special recognition and make your nominations here <A HREF="http://www.healthyheating.com/Carlson_Holohan.htm

Thanks Dan...and thanks to all who raise the benchmark each and everyday.
