the Heat Loss Calcs link under the "Resources" tab above. It is easy and gets you invested in the process. You can always run the results by us for a sanity check.

EDIT: I have USAF weather data for the following California (KAH-li-FOR-NI-AH) locations. Which is closest to you or best represents your climate? I can post it in PDF format.

I'm looking for someone who is skilled at room by room heat loss calculation to determine optimal heating solution.

    Thanks.

    Your best bet

Might be California Hydronics in Hayward or JTG Associates in Berkeley. If not, ask for a referal and they might direct you to someone that can help.

I don't recall the ph#s, but I bet Mr. Google would.

    thank you, Rob.

Brad - I think Mtn View/Moffet is closest (San Jose is physically closer but my elevation is higher, so weather-wise I'm probably more like Mtn View/Moffet or Monterrey...

    Here is the weather data

For Mountain View and Monterey if it helps you.

Typically, we would use the 99% or 99.6% occurrence data (40 and 37 degrees respectively for Monterey for example). You are fortunate to live in such a mild climate, but you know that.... :)
