    12 volt circulator

maybe this was discussed here before but.... can anyone steer me to a 12volt circulator with a pump curve close to a taco 007?
    thanks

    a couple choices

Laing, Marsh, Elsid. WWW.marsh.com has an 809 good for about 5gpm at 4'

www.laing.com has a smaller D-5 and a few other choices.

Here are the curves for the El sid.

I have not found any 12V quite as powerful as the oo7, maybe one of these is enough?

    laing

WWW.lainginc.com manufactures a line of hydronic equipment which includes 12 and 24 V circulators.Might be what you're looking for.
  • Question about the 12v circ

Jim, is this for constant or temp use?

If it for temp use, such as and extended power outage, you may consider using a power converter connected to a 12 volt deep cycle battery(s) and a 120v circ.

    Just a thought,

    12 volt circs

Thanks for the help so far. This is for an application/experiment that uses a pellet burner to heat a std boiler.
Remove the oil burner and install the pellet burner. I am working with the designer of the pellet burner. He has sucsessfully built a small version (around 20kbtu) and will now be looking to redesign for the 50-100k application.
Our goal is totaly off the grid, and have as little standby loss as possible. (inverters draw current even when not loaded.)
this will not be available for mfg for some time, but eventually will replace the outside boilers that so many towns are against. To purchase wood pellets is not the answer either. Another company that we are working with has developed a wood pellet press that will make pellets from a number of sources of both raw and recycleable material.
still in the planing stages all around. But the 12v circ and the 12 v aquastat were the items I am concerned with.
