We can be sure this was it for him. But after 12 years wearing pinstripes, look what he has done! Four World Series championships, 8 out of 12 times division champs. Money had a role, but Torre was the most beneficial thing that happened to the yanks

Clemens last game in Fenway (or so we all thought) when he beat the Sox and as he was coming off the field we gave him a standing ovation.

Coach Joe was out of the dugout, turned toward the stands and gave the Sox faithful a hand for sportsmanship.

There are not many like Mr. Torre.

means a Yankee fan. And I rarely ever post on these non heating topics ..( BUT I am a huge baseball fan)....Joe Torre is a Class act. I bet the ol' george will be having second thoughts... if Joe does still want to be in the game there are MANY teams lining up to hire him. There is no way the yanks' have the sucess they have had the last few years w/o him at the helm.
Baseball is better because of him...just wish it had not been w/ the Yanks dammit...kpc
