    It all depends. If those were your choices, I would go with stainless over aluminum heat exchangers. Both are good quality machines but I prefer stainless in a condensing boiler if that is your objective.

    If i had to choose it would be Lochinvar. Stainless heat exchanger, No need for external controls, It comes with the primary pump and the outdoor sensor. I have not installed the Buderus mod/con yet but many seem to like it. The Lochinvar now comes wall hung in 4 different sizes, they also have one that modulates from 10,000 to 50,000.
    We have installed several lochinvar knights and have had no problems at all.
