Drain cooler manufacturers..

I spec. Penn Separators for steam boiler blowdown, but I've got (2) 900mbh water boilers on the top of a new building with PVC drains from the boiler room. If they have to dump 180* water or the RV blows I don't want twisted pipe. The problem with Penn is it stands 3' high. I hate to reinvent the wheel and design something. Does someone make a low profile drain cooler that will sit on the floor and work??
Thanks...

    You can

cobble together your own horizontal tank, just make sure you take into account volume of discharge per cycle and that the outflow pipe wants to be high for maximum retention time.

Carefully calculate your inflow rate plus duration and cooling water rate also, when you size the tank. Venting is critical and it should be welded to ASME XIII standards by a certified welder.

The non-potable cooling water inlet also should be back-flow protected and should enter the chamber high with a spray pattern. Yes, you are re-inventing the wheel a bit here...

In the past I too have looked for a horizontal unit such as from Penn and came up empty.
