<a href="http://www.giannoni.fr/products.php"target="_blank">Giannoni</a> does make several different heat exchangers as well as many sizes of each. I am not sure exactly which model the Knight and Munchkin each have, but no doubt that is where the difference lies.

Munchkin V Knight Hx's
Hi all looking for a little verification on the heat exchangers of the Munchkin 80m verses the Knight 80 i was lead to believe they are both made by the same French company.
I noticed in a previous thread that the Knight is using a larger pump 26-99 verses 007 for the Munchkin.
Does this mean the Hx's are a different design or if not why the different size pump?0 -
Munchkin 80M
If you are piping with 1 1/4" than the 007 or a ups15-58 speed2 or a NRF-22 is good for the 80M.
I'm not 100% sure but the Knight used to show 1" piping and that could be why they show a larger circ.0 -
I never heard either
But I saw the service bulletin on the Knight. IIRC, they are calling for a 26-99 or equivalent as the boiler pump even on the small models. I would speculate that they had some issues with perking or overheating and shutting down due to low flow with the 007/15-42/NRF-22. Seems to me that defeats the purpose, in a way, of purchasing a M/C boiler in the first place. That's a steady draw of roughly 200 watts. One thing to use a circ like that on a boiler with 200+ output and the load to go with it. Another thing entirely in my book on an 80K unit.
I'm waiting for a VS circ that will respond to a temperature input. That would take care of the boiler temp and the waste of energy at the same time.0
