Thanks to the info from you guys on the Wall, my buddy and I are going down to NYC on the 10th to see Les. I just bought tickets, because I heard that last week both shows were sold out.

    It's going to be great!

Lucky You!!! Give a report afterward. Details!
  • yea,

I'dlike to know who he's playing with. If you're lucky Frank Vignola will be with him.

The way I see it, I'll be in like Flint. You know, Les Paul, Paul Fredricks. It's a natural. Maybe he'll let me sit in on bass for a song or two. I'm sure he'll be thrilled to see me.

He used to play Iridium Jazz club every monday night in nyc. I saw him there and he was great. He's a weird, cranky, lovely, very nice dirty old man. He tells kooky stories between songs and then plays the heck out of a number of jazz standards including a very sweet Over the Rainbow.

If you have a Les Paul guitar, bring it. He signed a half dozen of them when I saw him. But that was a small club. Don't know where you're seeing him.

    Enjoy,

    Jason

Yeah, he's still at the Iridium. And my buddy is bringing his Les Paul for him to sign. Can't wait.

    You're in for a treat...

It's not often that you get to hear a living legend in person. His take on "Over the Rainbow" is incredible, and will run thru your head for a week after the show. Have a great time.
