Expansion tank location

I always pipe my boilers following the "pumping away" layout. Following this layout, can you remotely install the expansion tank (aprox 3-4feet away)? I will still be tying the expansion tank in under the air sccop and water feed, but just pipe it furter away.

xtank piping
It's done all the time with floor mounted tanks. Shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't get carried away. Make sure to hang the tank from the threaded connection. Don't lay it flat or upside down.0 -
Why wouldnt you pipe them upside down or sideways? I see it all the time, I always figured it didn't really matter.0
