    Oil

    RustOleum works just fine.

Rustoleum antique bronze metallic. I sandblasted this little guy and painted him up in just a couple hours... The paint dries in like 15 minutes

    Thats not the only one...

Our house has about half a dozen Roccoco's of various sizes, this is the first one I've gotten around to painting, but there are more to come ;-)

    paint

Unfortunately I dont have sandblasting access.
Thanks for the info. I will see what Rustoleum offers.
Can you paint oil if the radiator was painted orginally in latex?

It's not recommended as there will not be a proper bond between the two. Once latex, always latex. It'll be okay to use latex though if you really can't get to the bare metal. Have you tried an autobody? There are places (if located in an urban setting) that do commercial and residential abrasive blasting for decent money. A specific radiator resoration place will charge the most to do such work as was my experience in MA.
