Garage Heat

hello i am just wondering if anyone could give me some advise. i have a infloor heat system in my garage that is about 10 years old. it is ran off of a gas hot water heater and the hot water heater has a small leak. the new hot water heater that is to replace it is a bit taller. so i guess what i am asking is if the system i have is plumbed properly and if it is okay to move the pressure tank down lower to allow for the height of the new unit to be installed. and any ideas for a new fill system.

should not ...
be an issue. I would see if it is possible to upgrade to a better heat source. Water heaters are about 70% eff. kpc

Attached is a sketch of what i would like to do but i don't know if all of the components are in the correct locations or not and if the sight glass idea will work. any and all input is appreciated0 -
What is the purpose of the fill tank. It it like an open system storage tank to feed water to the system? If so, what would the purpose of the expansion tank be? Why the sight glass. Isn't the system suppose to be filled all the time?0 -
hold on...
if there is no constant water to the heater there could be problems.....Is there a low water cutoff on the system? Is there pressure on the system at all times? kpc
