If he could talk.
Hey Steve,
Maybe it is not the seeds.

Great shot Steve,
and nice dubbing Ed, I`m kinda partial to these critters, an "ad" may not be a bad idea.
C`mon, who dislikes chipmunks?
Dave0 -
Who you callin' a vermin?
I dunno 'bout the pepper. We tried that a few years ago & seemed to create a real demand for spicy birdseed among the raccoons. Didn't cut back on their appetites, but it was kind of funny to see them munching & then panting with mouths open & tongues out. Had to fill the bird bath more often.
Uh oh, in trouble with the ASPCA.0 -
And then...
... here's big bird ;~)

This guy ended up running off with the entire feeder!0 -
If they eat off the ground
The 'Chippies' are fine.
As soon as they get INTO the feeders, like Steve's picture, I start disliking them.
Kinda like the local gray squirrels.

The ultimate bird feeding story..
I just had to share this with you all.
I had a reunion of sorts this weekend. It was actually a going away party for my mountain home. Our intention is to tear down the old place this coming spring and build new next summer. So I had all the siblings up for one last porch party. We had a fantastic time (despite bad weather). Thank goodness for radiant propane heaters. We hung out on the covered porch all weekend long, reminiscing about all the great times we'd had there before.
This morning, the sun came back out to play. I was standing out there, chewing the fat with family and inlaws, when about a mile away, right on the lake I see a gigantic splash. "What the heck was that ?" I asked, no one else saw it, but a few seconds later, we could see the wings of a large bird flapping its way towards us. I grabbed a pair of binoculars, and exclaimed "It's an Osprey, and it has a great big ol' fish in its' claws!" The bird flew past our place, and out of site, blocked by lower cabins nearer the lake. Suddenly, my brother yells, "Here it comes again. and it has an Eagle chasing it!!" Sure enough, the Osprey was flapping its wings as hard as it could, and was screaching up a storm, and this monster bald eagle was closing in on it. Shortly before the eagle would have hit the Osprey, it dropped the salmon it had in its talons.
The eagle, flared its wings, dropped down to the lake, grabbed the salmon and took off.
Awesome... A true once in a life time experience, and all my siblings were there to see it.
Enjoy!
