I need a good steam guy to do some work on a single pipe steam system. I've got a 1940's? vintage system that was originally designed to pipe steam to the whole house. Sometime in the 50's? they converted the downstairs to an apartment, and repiped the downstars radiators to a 2nd boiler for the first floor. We are converting back to single family and want only one boiler. Need to have some crafty pipefitter come into my basement and pull some 50year old pipe plugs and restore this system. Also need a new boiler sized and installed to supply enough steam for the additonal radiation. Must have a couple references of steam piping work done. I hate banging pipes and unvented mains. Anyleads would be appriciated.
