mobile home boiler

I've never seen a mobile home boiler - yet. The one thing you need to make sure of, like you said, it has to be mobile home approved. It doesn't matter if it has zero clearance or whatever- the appliance has to be mobile home approved. Check your mom's current boiler. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen equipment in a mobile home lacking the approval.

    Ducane...

Comes to mind. It sounds like it should be a furnace, not a boiler (boilers are filled with water; funaces blow hot air)?

    Some of the ...

real small wall hung, condensing units have close to or actually; zero clearence, as long as a door can be opened to gain service access.

Look at The Munchkin wall hung and W/M condensors. Pick up 92+ AFUE efficiency to boot.

What brand's in there now? Scranton? Is that a model or brand? Might you know the net I=B=R output of whatever's there?

    HUD approved boiler

I think Axeman Anderson has one of the only boilers approved for MH.Or maybe check with Thermo Dynamics they have a zero clearance that can use a gas power burner.

I have worked on two mobile home boilers

the real fun is at 2am in a blizzard working on a step ladder through an out side access. Where to find one I would not know but must be mobile home approved as stated earlier.

thanks for the input-mom has a shed with a side cut out with access to the boiler door .input is 125,000 ,but that was also supplying domestic hot water until pop took it out. i only need 72,000 to heat her house , we'll figure something out. thanks again
