Going to replace the boiler on this old steam system, circa 1917. Boiler is FitzGibbons and I think original. Must be a deviant of 1 pipe steam, On rads where vent would be 8th" pipe goes back to a large main yent, also no main vents on returns. Off the vent piping in basement is somr form of vent / trap? that is piped to the returns where main vents would normally be.

It's an Eddy system!
You can see the name in pic #5. I think that device is an air exhauster, like that used in the Paul or Moline systems. This system is briefly described on page 253 of Lost Art.
Where is this old beauty located?

Thanks for the ID
Its located in Angola, In NE corner. Is there anything
quirky about putting a new boiler to this baby. The radiation is sized for a Burnham IN7 The FitzGibbons looks like it might be a challange to get out.0
