Manifolds

Any manifold similar to Caleffi (pairs built to hang with offset) with simple shut-offs instead of balancing valves?

    Oventrop and watts Radiant

had some simple manifolds with just ball valves. Do you need one? How many ports?

    What about copper?

  • Need two pairs:

    1 x 7 port

    1 x 11 port

    3/4" or 1" main; 1/2" outlets

    Prefer 2" o.c. connections.

Copper is fine. Mains will be copper; branches 1/2" pex.

Really like the way the Caleffi manifolds are staggered pairs on a good hanging assembly.

  • Watts Radiant looks like it will be perfect. Thanks Hot Rod!

    I confess

to still making up most of my own manifolds out of copper T's, little lengths of tubing, ball valves, and sweat pex adapters. once a cheapskate ...

but the price of parts and the tedium of doing this has me wondering about manufactured alternatives. are the Watts & Oventrop ones recommended? does anyone have any experience with Sioux Chief? they seem to have a pretty diverse set of manifold configurations ...

Check out Precision Hydronic Products (www.phpinc.us) also. We manufacture copper manifolds in various sizes, with various drop configurations and fittings. We can also do custom work up to 6-inch pipe diameter. All products are pressure-tested and come with a 3-year leak-free warranty.
