Lochinvar Solution boiler w/ two stage thermostat

Supposedly, the Vision Pro doesn't have any "droop" in temperature. It uses a PID loop to tighten up the offset in temperature. I was taking into account that if the second stage of heat did enable that the quick recovery time of both the copper fin-tube & the copper heating boiler would not be a problem maintaining room temp. Hard to say w/o just trying it out I guess

Lochinvar Solution boiler w/ a two stage thermostat

I know that this is not by any means a high tech question.
Has any one mated a Vision Pro 8000 2- Stage thermostat with a Lochinvar Solution series boiler. The Lo/Hi/Lo control is already built in based on return water ,but I just thought it would be nice on low load days to "lock out" the high fire through the thermostat, considering there is an interlock for High Fire on the boiler. I will also be utilizing the outdoor reset option. Just curious. Thanks in advance.

I wonder though about the lag between 1st and 2nd stage. I don't know the ranges on the t'stat, but if the customer set it for 68 and high fire on a cold day didn't kick in till 66, I would guess the customer wouldn't be happy. Of course if the differential is closer it may not be an issue.

    I think it serves as

a low return protection device also. I suppose if you could build in some other "smart" return protection mechanism.

Probably more of an issue when you connect them to radiant slabs, however.

    Aquastat on the return

    HR,
Didn't you state befor that Viessmann used to do that ( or still do) on some of their boilers but it would shut the pump off until it reached 140, or something like that?
I thought maybe Ike from Lochinvar would chime in about this. Nice little boilers though for the right applications.
