Burnham Freedom modcon

Anyone have experience with the new Burnham Freedom modcons yet? Looks interesting & we landed a church job that'll need several modcons working as a team.

On behalf of the contractors that don't visit these sites and have installed these boilers I offer a word or two. We have numerous installations out there over the past year that these have been on the market and for the most part all have been operating very well. As expected with the newer technology, there have been the choice few jobs where the installer misconstrued the directions or possibly didn't read it thoroughly where they missed piping it primary-secondary or such. We have a magazine artilce being published shortly depicting a modular Freedom™ CHG installation in a church in CT that has been in for a year or so. I'll see if I can round up some info on that installation for you as well. Here is a recent Freedom™ FCM installation, also in CT. This one wasn't completely buttoned up at the time the photos were taken and was temporarily running on a propane until all of the gas piping was completed.

I also want to add that this particular model has one of the earlier design front jackets. We have since gone to a similar but different jacket with a much cleaner look and design. I have attached a photo of the newer jacket design. Hope this helps.

and happy birthday too! We're splitting off the Sanctuary in this centuries old church to operate independently & converting it to hot water. The remainder of this huge complex will remain as steam with a new steam boiler (reduced in size) and the pressure will be lowered from 12-PSI to 1/2-PSI. Toss in about 30 Invereter mini-splits to round out the picture.
