steam suggestions

Here's hoping, Dan and I have tried to put as much thought as possible into it. Although after banging my head on the beam's all day I'm done thinking for a while. The ceiling was roughly 5'11" and I'm 6'3" (or was when we started). Not a good mix..:(
As to getting the boiler in, I have never had one so easy!! We brought a boom truck with strap's and dropped it right in the bulk head (no stairs). I think that was the easiest I have ever done.
As to piping the gage and pigtail, I never really gave that thought but will have to keep the part's on my truck to do it. Thanks for the idea, I'll have to pull up one of your steamer's to get the idea in mind.
By the way, this is the steamer we are pulling the two heat zone's and the indirect off. I'm having a blast with this one..

in the works
In the attached photo's are the latest project my co-worker (Dan) and I have started. This system is actually at my supervisor's residence so we have to act like we are working!!Any and all suggestion's are happily accepted. We hope to be able to get it on line in the very near future but it's a "time allow's" job at this point.

critique on install
Hard to see enough to be critical, but see enough to know a good piping job when I see one. Nice job on the drop header.0 -
Beautiful start
to what I know is going to be a perfect install . How hard was it getting the Megasteam into the basement ? Looks like a noggin' banger ceiling height too .
One thing I started doing a few years ago is install the pressure gage after the pigtail with the pressuretrol on a 1/4 inch tee . And I also like to bring that setup out of the boiler in a 3/4 or 1/2 inch tapping . I'm always afraid that little 1/4 inch port will get clogged .
Keep us posted on the progress .0 -
thank you
Thank's Al, sorry about the photo's...it was a little tight down there and that was about the best I could do for now. I'll get better shot's when we pull the old system out...0 -
I like...
the cardboard to protect top of the steamer during the install. Nice idea.
Lookin' good,
