Bronze cartridge 00 circs have non-ferrous internal moving parts with a cast iron casing which can quickly load up with rust in non-barrieir tubing systems. We recommend all-bronze circs with non-barrier tubing.0 -
So what is the point of the bronze cartridge circs?0 -
It helps to slow down the rusting process on the rotor in open atmospheric heating systems, like outdoor wood boilers. It's also a good idea for non-barrier radiant systems,drain-back solar jobs, factory wet testing by boiler OEM's or any non-potable application that is open, unpressurized and prone to air in solution.
The best choice for these applications is an all-bronze circ but a lower cost alternative is an iron pump with a bronze cartridge to keep the moving parts rust free.0
